Congratulations to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defence team on achieving a silver award at Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2026 in Wales! 👏

Over roughly 48 hours, eight-person patrols covered up to 40 miles across challenging terrain, testing their leadership, resilience and teamwork. This year, 140 patrols took part, including 35 international patrols, making it the largest edition since 1959.

🇬🇧 Trafalgar Square: The Story Behind the Name

Trafalgar Square is named after the Battle of Trafalgar, fought on 21 October 1805. Led by Admiral Horatio Nelson, the British Royal Navy defeated the combined French and Spanish fleets, preventing Napoleon’s planned invasion of Britain.

The name “Trafalgar” is believed to come from the Arabic Taraf al-Gharb, meaning “western cape”, referring to Cape Trafalgar in southern Spain where the battle took place.
